What is Garageband: an Apple multimedia software product which can be used to create original music, but also used to create podcasts. 

GarageBand is only available as a part of iLife, a suite of applications (also including iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and iWeb) intended to simplify the creation and organization of digital content. iLife is included on new Macintosh computers; upgrades can be purchased separately. Minor updates can be downloaded from Apple’s website or from Software Update

Instructional Strategies:  

Podcasts can be created featuring non-linguistic representations of important concepts and ideas across many curriculum areas and grade levels.
